Renewal Look-Ahead

Renewal Look-Ahead — Privacy Policy

Last updated · 25 September 2026

The app has no server. It reads your Stripe data in your browser, shows you a list, and forgets it when you close the tab.

1. The short version

Renewal Look-Ahead is a page inside your own Stripe Dashboard. It reads your Stripe data at the moment you open it, builds the list, and discards everything when you navigate away. Ultramar Labs LLC operates no server for this app, never receives a copy of your data, and has no way to read your Stripe account.

2. What the app is

A Stripe Apps UI extension — a page in the Stripe Dashboard, and nothing else. There is no account to create, no password, no separate website to sign in to, and no third-party service connected to it.

3. What it reads, and why

Four read-only permissions, requested as narrowly as the job allows. Subscriptions, to find the ones renewing in the next 60 days. Customers, for the name, which payment method is the invoice default, and whether there is a legacy default source — where a customer has no name, the app labels the row with their email address instead, because an unlabelled row is not actionable. Card payment methods, for the brand, last four digits and expiry month and year, which is how the app tells a card that outlives a renewal from one that does not. And prices, for the renewal amount, so the list can be ranked by money at risk.

4. What it cannot do

The app holds no write permission of any kind. It cannot change a subscription, charge a card, email your customers, or alter anything at all in your account. Every call it makes is a read, authenticated as your own Dashboard session through the client Stripe provides to apps.

5. Where the data goes

Nowhere. Responses are held in your browser's memory while the page is open and discarded when it closes. The app writes no cookies, uses no local storage, and makes no network request to any host other than the Stripe API. Its content security policy permits no external requests at all.

6. The one place data leaves the page

The Copy as CSV button puts the visible list on your own system clipboard, when you press it. That text contains, for each row, the renewal date, the customer's name or email address, the customer and subscription identifiers, the risk category, the amount, the currency and the one-line explanation. It goes to your clipboard and nowhere else. Where it goes after that is up to you.

7. Analytics and tracking

None. No analytics, no error-reporting service, no tracking pixel, no third-party script. Stripe separately gives publishers aggregate App Analytics — install counts and similar figures about the listing. Those are Stripe's own measurements, contain nothing from inside your account, and we cannot connect them to your business.

8. Retention

There is nothing retained, because nothing is collected. Uninstalling removes the app's access immediately. There is no residue to delete and no request you need to send us to have data erased — which is the whole reason the app was built without a backend.

9. Changes

If the app ever begins to collect, transmit or store data — an emailed digest, for instance, would require a server and a sender — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change described here rather than folded silently into a new revision date.
