SMS Verification Terms

Last updated · 22 September 2026

These describe how the site and the platform actually work today. They are reviewed by counsel before contract signature; the contracted terms of an engagement are set out in the agreement itself.

1. Ultramar Labs verification messages

Ultramar Labs LLC, trading as Ultramar Labs, offers optional text-message verification for account sign-in. These messages contain security codes you request. They are not marketing messages, meeting reminders or invitations.

2. Your choice

Enter your own mobile number and select the consent checkbox in account security or first-time setup to choose text verification. Each code is sent only when you request it. Text-message verification is optional; an authenticator app is available instead. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchasing services.

3. Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies with your sign-in and verification requests. Message and data rates may apply. Delivery depends on your carrier and mobile coverage. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Never share a verification code with anyone.

4. Stopping texts and getting help

To stop requesting verification texts, add and verify an authenticator app in account security, then remove the phone method. Where supported by the sending number, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. If you cannot sign in, contact hello@ultramarlabs.io for identity-checked recovery. For privacy details, see our Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy.

5. Enrollment disclosure

The account setup and security forms display an unchecked consent box with this text: “I agree to receive Ultramar Labs sign-in verification texts at this number when I request them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. I can use an authenticator app instead.” It is followed by links to these SMS terms and our Privacy Policy. After confirming the number, you choose Send code. The forms are available to signed-in account holders; no text is sent merely by visiting a page.
