Expiry Watch — Terms of Service
Last updated · 22 September 2026
Free, provided as-is, and explicitly not a compliance system. Read section 3 before you rely on it.
1. The agreement
By adding Expiry Watch to a Google Chat space you agree to these terms with Ultramar Labs LLC. If you are adding it on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may do so.
2. What the app does
You tell it what expires and when. It posts a reminder in that space at 90, 30 and 7 days before the date, then daily once the date has passed, until someone marks the entry done. There is a weekly digest, and both reminders and the digest can be switched off per space.
3. What it is not
Expiry Watch is a reminder, not a compliance system, and not a system of record. It does not verify that a certificate exists, that it is valid, or that it says what you think it says — it repeats the date you typed. If you type the wrong date you will get a confident reminder about the wrong date. Keeping insurance, licences and inspections current remains entirely yours, and a missed reminder is not a defence to anyone who asks.
4. Availability
The app is free and provided as-is, with no uptime commitment. Reminders depend on Google Chat, Google Cloud and Supabase; if any of them is unavailable a reminder may be late or missed. We monitor the reminder job, but do not rely on this app as the only thing standing between you and a lapsed policy.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to store anything you would not want a colleague in the same space to read — everyone in a space can see its watchlist. Do not attempt to access another space's data, and do not use the app to break the law or Google's own terms.
6. Ending it
Remove the app from the space at any time, with no notice and nothing to cancel. Reminders stop immediately. We may discontinue the app, and if we do we will post notice in every space it is installed in at least 30 days beforehand so you can move your dates somewhere else.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided without warranties, and our liability for any claim arising from it is limited to what you paid us for it, which is nothing. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
